The latest news from Accurate Armour is for 4 conversion/update sets for the recently released Meng Models kit of the British Army Husky TSV (Tactical Support Vehicle). I for one have been pleased to see Meng do an injection moulded kit of a modern British Army vehicle. Equally good to see that Accurate Armour have been able to quite quickly produce these new conversion/update sets to help enhance the model. These are mainly polyurethane resin sets, some including etch brass detailing.

C100 - Husky TSV ‘Heavy’ Conversion

This comprehensive detailed conversion and update set for the Meng Husky TSV (VS009) includes re-modelled seats, communication equipment, a corrected and super-detailed L57A1 PWS (Protected Weapons Station) with .50 Cal HMG on a balanced mount, ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) and photo etched set including the ‘Birdcage’ ECM Antenna. This set also has a revised rear stowage layout due to the larger overhang of the heavy turret. A new BOWMAN cover and mounting for the Antenna box is supplied as is the required shortened swinging rack for the jerry cans.

A196 - Husky TSV Weighted Wheel Set

This realistically weighted wheel set containing 4 wheels for the Husky TSV from Meng (VS009) is an ideal alternative to the supplied vinyl and plastic in the kit. The set contains the front pair with small bolts on the hub and the rear pair with larger bolts.

C114 - Husky TSV RV recovery Variant

This comprehensive detailed conversion and update for the Meng Husky TSV (VS009) includes recovery winch, stowage box, recovery spade, re-modelled seats, communication equipment, a corrected and super-detailed L56A1 PWS (Protected Weapons Station) ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) and photo etched set including the ‘Birdcage’ ECM Antenna.
The 8 Tonne winch allowed, when introduced in Afghanistan in 2011, recovery of vehicles up to Cougar and including Husky and Jackal where previously only the huge MAN SV Recovery was available in theatre. The set comes complete with 90’ rigid tow bar, deploy-able earth spade for winching operations and is complete with cab switch and hydraulic pressure dial. The fully detailed Rotzler TR080 winch is nestled down in front of the recovery equipment box but has plenty of detail visible with its unique cable guide on top.Also included is the handheld control for the winch operator and wire to make its coiled umbilical.
