Robin Buckland's
Kfz 69 with 3.7cm Pak 36 in 1/35...
... from Bronco Models
Another variation on the Krupp Boxer chassis now in production from Bronco Models. This tine the ammunition limber variant, along with a towed Pak 36 3.7mm anti-tank gun.
The truck chassis is very well detailed, including some etch brass fittings and the engine itself. Having built on of their previous variants of the truck, this assembles very neatly, though a number of very small parts to deal with. The result is a well detailed truck chassis. The bodywork on this new kit features the ammunition boxes and the seats for the gun crew. Added to the truck of course is the towed Pak 36 anti-tank gun itself, and hitched on to the back of the truck this makes for a good looking combination.
The other thing that makes this particularly interesting is the choice of the three colour schemes offered. The first is for a multi-colour pre-war scheme for a truck/gun combination with the 3rd Pz Div seen in Berlin in 1938. Then the second is for a combination serving with the Royal Hungarian Army. Another multi-colour camouflage, though with a much darker overall set of colours, but an interesting look to it. The third option is perhaps what we might think of as the 'classic' colour of overall Panzer Grey, covering the early war years. A well detailed model which build nicely.
