A new addition to the Super Drawings in 3D series of softcover books from Kagero. The 68 pages start with some background, and the remainder is filled with their high quality computer images of every aspect of the Osa Class Missile Boat. A product of the Cold War, these Soviet boats were built in large numbers (over 400) and serve(ed) with a number of navies around the world. They are quite distinctive thanks to the four large, angled launch boxes for the P-15 anti-ship missiles. Secondary armament includes 2 turrets with twin 30mm AK-230 guns.
The illustrations cover every external aspect of the vessel, not only views of the whole boat but lots of close-up detail of specific elements from the P-15 missiles, the gun turrets, radar fittings, open bridge and even smaller detail such as the valve for the fire fighting system, and the anchor capstan. All these colour images are great modellers' references. The added extra, tucked into the pages of the book, is a separate fold-out sheet carries 1/100 scale plans for the Osa-Class boat.
There are kits for the Osa-Class Missile Boats on the market, such as the 1/35 scale models by Merit. So, if you are building one of these, this will be a really handy detail reference source.

A fine addition to this series from Kagero
