The latest set of colours to come from Lifecolor is, in my view, a first class choice. It is the second set for British Tanks (set 1 gave us Desert colours and the Caunter scheme), this time with colours used in the UK and Europe during WW2. If you are not sure about which colours to use with which then I will refer you to the best reference I know, the guide written by MAFVA member Mike Starmer, who has spent many years researching British military vehicle colours of WW2. In his guides he includes small colour swatches of the various colours, not printed where the colours might be changed, but by sticking in small squares of painted card, painted using his own paint mixes to match the different colours.
If you mix your own colours then Mike's mixes are a fine guide but you now have the option to use these pre-made colours from Lifecolor. There might still be slight variations on the light/dark aspect of the shades but to my eye, these make for pretty good matches straight out of the jar. They are suitable for either brush or airbrush painting.
I chose a few models to try out the different colours. Two small Morris 15cwt trucks, one done with Light Mud as the base and SCC 1A Very Dark Brown as the disruptive pattern colour and the other using SCC 2 Brown as the base colour with SCC 14 Blue-Black for the disruptive colour. Another Morris, this time a radio truck, was used as the example for SCC 15 Olive Drab, the British colour as opposed to the American. All three Morris models were simple, one piece resin cast trucks from Cromwell Models. Finally, a Vickers Amphibious tank, finished with 14 Deep Bronze Green. This is another resin kit, but this time from Giesbers Models in Holland. None of these have had markings or weathering applied and the colours are simply demonstrated straight from the pots. I am very pleased with the end results so have no hesitation in recommending this very useful new set.

Water soluble acrylic colours for modelling and hobby. LifeColor is excellent for paint brushing or airbrushing on plastic, resin, metal, vinyl, wood, cloth and ceramic.

Using LifeColor:
1.Clean surfaces to be painted
2.For airbrushing, dilute the colour to a milky consistency using water or LifeColor Thinner.
3.Airbrush at very low pressures. (Iwata airbrushes give the best performance and atomisation at low pressures.)
4.Apply colour in thin coats with a brush or airbrush
5.Allow to dry completely between coats
6.Clean your airbrush with airbrush cleaner and flush through with water
