Another recent set in the Scale Plans series from MMP Books covers the famous Russian Shturmovik ground attack aircraft. Ideal for modellers and with both 1/72 and 1/48 scale plans included, it should help with the various kits that are on the market these days.
There are 6 fold-out pages which carry the various plans, providing side and plan (top surfaces and undersides) views of the complete airframes. They highlight the slight differences between the aircraft built at different factories. This includes elements such as wing armament and even the length of the tail-wheel fairing. It helps highlight the fact that so many of these tough aircraft were built, and too many for just one factory to manage alone, hence different factories production resulted in slight differences between them.
A very nicely done set of scale plans and for such a famous aircraft, a useful addition to the series.
