Another recent Spotlight On title in this series of hardback books from MMP, this one featuring the Junkers Ju 88A. AA hard-cover book holding 42 pages. The opening page is an Introduction that provides us with the basic history of the Junkers 88, and highlighting that total production ran to over 16,000 and they served on all fronts in a variety of roles. It lists the basic differences between all the variants from the pre-production A-0 to the A-17 torpedo bomber.
The rest of the book holds a first-class set of colour profiles, for a wide selection of examples. They illustrate aircraft from all periods of the war and in an equally varied mix of colours and markings. There are aircraft in the Battle of Britain and in service throughout the war, from North Africa to Finland. There are also aircraft operated by different countries. The Luftwaffe of course, and also Hungarian, Finnish, Romanian and even Swiss. The variety of schemes should inspire many aircraft modellers in which one they would like to feature on their next Ju88 A model.
Super artwork for modellers and aircraft historians alike. Another good addition to the series from MMP.
