...2 Field Artillery Tractors, limbers and 25 pounders in the one box, from The Plastic Soldier Company
Another recent release from the Plastic Soldier Company is a variation on their CMP chassis, with the Field Artillery Tractor body and wheels. It also includes two pairs of figures for the cab, one pair with shorts or another pair in battledress. This allows for NW Europe or North African colour schemes. Assembly is quick and everything fits together nice and neatly. The end result looks good. To go with it is a limber and the gun which can be built in any of 4 variations. This include a 25 pounder either with or without a muzzle brake, as a 17 pounder 'Pheasant' or an earlier 18/25 pounder. These account for four sprues in the box, while there are another two which each include two alternative sets of crews. Essentially the same poses, but one set in battledress and the other set in shorts and rolled up sleeves for North African theatre models.
There are no transfers included in the kit, but the Plastic Soldier Company do have a fine range of transfers available separately so you can choose your preferred units markings.
This is a growing range of models and rightly popular with some very neat kits that will make up into a fine collection, even if you are not into wargaming. For the gamer, then with 2 per box, this is great for building up your units.
