For the latest in their TopDrawings series from Kagero they have taken on the subject of the Panther. The core of it is of course a series of good quality scale drawings. Each set is a series of 5 views, with both sides, top, front and back. There are sets covering the Ausf A, the Ausf D and the Ausf G, helping identify the detail differences in the external appearance of the different versions. With this set though you also get a good snap-shot of the current modelling hobby. The reason I say that it that for each variant there are 4 complete sets of drawings in 1/72, 1/48, 1/35 and, using separate sheets which are tucked into the book and which then need to be unfolded, the much larger 1/16 plans as well.
To add to the plans you also get another small set of masks for the German National Markings, the black and white crosses, enabling you to paint them on rather than use transfers. Added to this, there are 5 pages, including the back cover, with fine 1/35 side views showing colour profiles, giving the modeller some ideas for colours and markings of a model Panther.
It's a neatly produced pack of fine scale drawings for the Panther with 'extras' in terms of the colour profiles and the painting masks.
