One of a recent batch of additions to the TopDrawings series, this one covers one of the best known fighters of WW2, the Fw 190 A variants. The number of variations on the A series is explained in the opening background information, which as usual is provided in both English and Polish. Then we get 14 pages of excellent 1/48 scale plans of the assorted A-variants, plus a 15th page with 1/72 side views using grey highlights to show the differences between each one. The plans include detailed elements such as the engine mounting and wiring, cockpit internal details, fuel tanks, radar antenna for the FuG 218 Neptun J-3 radar and more.
To add to the basic pages in the book there is also a separate, larger fold out sheet that comes tucked into the book, along with a small set of cockpit canopy painting masks designed for the Tamiya 1/48 and 1/72 kits of the Fw 190 A. The other part of the book to highlight are the super colour profiles which fill the 4 centre pages and the back cover, giving some ideas for modellers in colour and marking options they might like to consider.

Another neat addition to this series from Kagero
