Another new TopDrawings soft-cover book from Kagero, number 68, and it takes the Curtiss P-40 for its' subject. As ever with this series, the opening page provides the basic background to the aircraft. This outlines the original design and then the changes that were introduced over time, with the drawings in the book covering the B, C, D, and E variants. This text is provided in both English and Polish, as are all the captions for the drawings throughout.
The rest of the book is then filled with some fine 1/48 scale drawings and the small size of the P-40 means that even the top and bottom plan views still fit onto an A4 page, so no need to have the larger, separate fold out sheet tucked into the book. So what we have tucked into this one is an A4 size colour poster of a P-40 during the attack at Pearl Harbour in December 1941. The final few pages in the book have 1/72 scale versions of the drawings and they include some light grey shading to identify the visual changes between the variants.
The centre pages have more of Kagero's fine colour profiles and these include a P-40B on Oahu in December 1941, a P-40C on Puerto Rico at end 1941/early 1942, a centre page spread of a Tomahawk Mk IIB of 112Sqn in desert camouflage, based in Egypt in November 1941, a P-40E in the Brazilian Air Force and another =P-40E in Japanese colours at their evaluation centre. Add to this on the back cover, both sides of a colourful P-40E on the Aleutians in the summer of 1942.

Another useful set of drawings and references for modellers from Kagero.
