A new aviation subject for number 87 in the TopDrawings series from Kagero, a series distributed in the UK by Casemate Books. The Su-24, NATO reporting name Fencer, was a Cold War Soviet design which featured a variable-geometry wing, very similar to the US built F-111, and the prototype with this wing design first flew in 1970.
As is usual with this series, the opening page is text, giving some background to the design and service of the aircraft. The bulk of the 20 pages in this soft-cover book hold a series of excellent multi-view scale drawings in both 1/48 and 1/72 scales. For the largest 1/48 views, a separate, larger sheet is tucked between the pages. The centre pages and the back cover carry some fine colour profiles which offer a selection of camouflage and marking options for the type. The last 3 pages in the book feature some black & white detail photos of the real thing, just the sort of detail which modellers will appreciate.
Another excellent addition to the series, and ideal for the aviation enthusiast and modeller, especially for those specialising those interested in the Cold War. The scale drawings are in the two main scales for modellers.
